Weekly Photo Challenge: Green

The theme of GREEN for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is a good one. It is a colour that is all around us in nature and yet for some folks regarded as unlucky.

My mother was one such person. In 1938 she lived in Egypt and was expecting her fist baby. Her husband was adamant that the baby would be born in England. She had an outfit of dress, jacket and accessories in green  to come ‘home’ in. While she was away, her husband had an accident and died. She never wore green again.

Nature, however shows us just how wonderful a colour it can be.
