Blinking Tyneside

On a recent trip to Newcastle, we were lucky enough to be staying near the Blinking Bridge. It was built to celebrate the Millennium and that is it’s official title but when it is raised, it looks like an eye blinking and you know how we love nicknames!

Hubby took his camera and I hope you agree they provide a suitable entry for this week’s theme of ROY G BIV over at the Daily Post  

If you were expecting a story about a person you will be disappointed. The letters represent the colours of the rainbow – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. At night a rainbow of colours shines on the bridge so you just have to wait to see your favourite!
